nearly done ;D

Have finished my DVD cover, poster and DVD menu as well as my actual DVD adding a few little bits to my folder including my evaluation.

week 7

• ok so week 7 is already not off to a good start so far have had no luck in sorting out the issues with capturing my footage to a pc to begin editing. dave however has been trying to help fix the problem will be talking to keith to see if I can get the problem fixed tommorow.
• This week I will finish my final poster as well as finish my DVD cover.

Due to the time constraints and editing problems I am falling back to my contingency plan and will no longer be doing a full 15 minuite movie but instead will do a trailer instead still of course including a DVD menu and advertisng package.

week 6

ok so week 6 is past and I forgot to update this. so
i have managed to get most of my folder work completed as well as finish my final ticket.
I have also experimented with my movie posters to develop some ideas I now think i have chosen one in particular to make properly.
Have had some problems with capturing the film footage I have so far which I must solve by next week.

week 5

preparing to film more footage this weekend hopefully be able to finish off most of the filming. and start work on editing in the next week. also Ive been working on designs for my DVD cocer and poster designs.

week 3!!!

so far this week Ive dont tones of research for the horror movie everything from victorian clothing to camera techniques. gathering my own research by handing out several questionnaires to get some feedback and boost my audience research ^^  hoping to create a graph showing the results later on.
By Total accident I have managed to finish making my ticket well ahead of time so one less thing tooo do =]

from looking on youtube I have found some video's that could prove to be useful in the movie making process. they explain in a few key points how to make a horror movie and some of the best ways to go about making a horror film.

FMP Propsal

For my final media project i plan to produce a single camera drama. This single camera film will be in the style of a psychological supernatural horror film in which i will use most of the conventions displayed in that genre of film. I plan to base this film around an old children's rhyme i heard as a child about a local serial killer known as Mary Anne Cotton.

Mary Anne Cotton,
She's dead and she's rotten
She lies in her bed,
With her eyes wide open
Sing, sing, oh, what can i sing,
Mary Anne Cotton is tied up with string
Where, where? up in the air
Sellin' black pudding's a penny a pair.

I also plan to use aspects from other horror movies such as dead silence in which the evil spirit of the deceased can be angered and take out its revenge on those who have angered it. filming i expect will be mainly at night in woodland locations, houses and college. to make the film interactive I may include buttons in which the audience can decide what action the character will take which will effect the ending of the film. ( though this is not a definite feature).

I also plan to put the film onto a DVD with a fully functional DVD menu system complete with trailers, behind the scenes and interviews. to accompany the film and DVD i hope to make movie posters, film tickets and DV case cover. If I have time i may include a promotional one page website for the movie.

10 week plan for FMp

week 1: for the first week of the FMP i plan to spend time researching into existing horror movies that are of a similar genre to my own idea. as well as some basic research into the life styles and clothing of the late 19th centuary which will help me in making my single camera drama, I may start doing some filming this week.

week 2: for week 2 of FMP i plan to continue my research in more depth looking at techniques used in that style of film. I will definatly make a start on some filming by this time. I will also start to peice together my pre production work.

week 3: in week 3 I plan to continue researching and the pre production work. by this time the main lot of filming should be well underway. At this stage I will also begin planning my DVD menu, movie poster and tickets as well as possibly start a little editing.

week 4:  in week 4 I will be continuing with collecting/filming footage for the single camera. I will also develop my ideas for my DVD menu, movie posters and tickets. at this stage I shall also start work on editing my footage.

week 5:  I will continue with filming adding extra clips to improve the footage I have already. I will start work on my DVD menu,movie posters and tickets.

week 6: Editing main part of filming will begin while adding extra bits of footage. I will also contine work on my DVD menu,Movie posters and tickets.

week7: Editing main part of filming will begin while adding extra bits of footage. I will also contine work on my DVD menu,Movie posters and tickets.

week 8:  Editing main part of filming will begin while adding extra bits of footage. I will also contine work on my DVD menu,Movie posters and tickets.

week 9: I will start writing the write up for the film. aswell as this i will check over my work making some ajustments. will aslo start the write up for the DVD menu, movie poster and tickets.

week 10: I will finish off all the write up correcting any problems with my work and have it finished on time.
